From the first notes to the international stage

From early recorder training to the excellent study at the Karlsruhe University of Music and up to the artistic-scientific promotion

Solange Komenda was born in 1998 in Pforzheim and grew up in Bad Liebenzell in the Northern Black Forest.
Her recorder training began in a recorder circle, followed by three years of private lessons before she switched to the Calw Music School. 

She continued her career at the Karlsruhe University of Music under Prof. Karel van Steenhoven, where she completed a bachelor's degree, a master's degree in recorder, and a master's degree in contemporary music with distinction.
Additionally, Solange Komenda studied for two years at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under Prof. Jorge Isaac and spent a semester abroad at the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo.

Solange Komenda has attended masterclasses with Maurice Steger, Erik Bosgraaf, Tosiya Suzuki, Jeremias Schwarzer, and Leila Schayegh, and received lessons from Kees Boeke, Walter van Hauwe, Jorge Isaak, Antonio Politano, Michael Form, and Stefan Temmingh.

She is currently a doctoral student in artistic-scientific promotion at the Karlsruhe University of Music under Prof. Dr. Arabella Pare.
